The Show Must Go On - Thomson vs. Pitbull Promoted to Main Event as Fedor-Mitrione Postponed Due to Illness

HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (February 18, 2017) – Due to illness, Matt Mitrione (11-5) is unable to compete at Bellator 172 and as a result, his highly-anticipated matchup with Fedor Emelianenko (36-4, 1 NC) has been scratched from tonight's event. Bellator officials will look to reschedule the fight at a later date.

The lightweight bout pitting former STRIKEFORCE champion Josh Thomson (22-8, 1 NC) against former Bellator world title challenger Patricky "Pitbull" (16-8) will now serve as the card's main event.

Refunds will be offered at the patron's original point of purchase.
